XML import file schema

Financial Consolidation offers a file import and export feature that uses an XML based document format to import and export company journals and group journals consistently. The file import for journals works in the same way as the journal editors: Before the journal data is imported, a validation is performed to ensure that only consistent journals with an equaled balance are posted, and that they are posted only by users with sufficient permissions. The validation ensures also that the required information is available for every journal before it is imported. If any journal in the import file is incorrect, the validation rejects the import and nothing is imported.

Note: It is not possible to create single segment journals from the .xml import file. You can only import company journals or group journals. Both journals types must not be mixed when you create an import file.
