Properties of consolidation rules

The information that you specify in the Rule section depends on the consolidation type. For the consolidation types Consolidation of Debts, Consolidation of Expenditure and Revenue, and Other Consolidation you can specify this information:

Rule Description
ID Specify the rule ID of the consolidation rule. The rule ID must be unique.
Name Specify the name of the consolidation rule.
Accounts Caption Defines a caption for the accounts.
Contra Accounts Caption Defines a caption for the contra accounts.
Type of Elimination Entries

Financial Consolidation takes this setting into account, if you use various types of elimination entries in a project and change the consolidation rules.

Select the type of elimination entries that are created, when you run the consolidation rule, from the drop-down list.

  • With intercompany and with balance reconciliation
  • With intercompany and without balance reconciliation
  • Without intercompany and with balance reconciliation
  • Without intercompany and without balance reconciliation
Debit Differences Specify the accounts to which the debit and credit differences are posted. Click the List button and select Change Setting. In the Select Element dialog the list of accounts is displayed. You can expand or collapse the list, select only base elements, or filter the list. Select the account and click OK. To delete the account, click the List button and select Delete Setting. Click Yes in the confirmation dialog.
Credit Differences
Threshold (%) Here you specify the absolute or percentage threshold value from which upwards differences are posted. It will only be taken into account by the consolidation rules, if you adjust them.

For the consolidation type Capital Consolidation you can specify this information:

Consolidation Basis Here you specify the consolidation basis of the consolidation rule.
Base Account Here you specify the base account of the consolidation rule.
Debit Differences Specify the accounts to which the debit and credit differences are posted. Click the List button and select Change Setting. In the Select Element dialog the list of accounts is displayed. You can expand or collapse the list, select only base elements, or filter the list. Select the account and click OK. To delete the account, click the List button and select Delete Setting. Click Yes in the confirmation dialog.
