Functions

This table shows the available functions:

Functions	Description
Export Journals	This function exports all journals and journal templates from the journal database to a file. Note: Running this function can require several hours and can create large files up to a size of several hundred GB. While running this function, do not create or change journals in the system. Ensure that all users are logged off.
Import Journals	This function imports all journals from a file that have been exported previously with the Export Journals function. Note: You can only import and export journals with the same software version. Journals that have been exported with a previous software version must not be imported in the new software version. Before importing the journals, the existing journals and journal templates from the journal database are deleted.
Delete Existing Journals	This function deletes all journals from the journal database. The journal database is then empty and the journal numbering sets are reset. Note: This function deletes all journals irreversibly from the journal database.
