DAR Analytics and Birst from Infor OS Portal

Security roles are assigned by administrators to grant access to DAR Analytics and Birst. The security roles control different levels of administration access to Birst spaces.

Users are added to any of the Infor Federated Services (IFS) security roles to access DAR Analytics.

IFS security roles

IFS security role Description
DABIRST-User
  • Creates Infor Birst UserID
  • Adds a user to the consumer space and model space as a non-administrator
  • Provides access to DAR in Infor OS Portal, without Infor Birst access. This is a mandatory role for all DAR users.
DABIRST-Consumer-Administrator
  • Adds a user to the consumer space as administrator
  • Provides access to DAR in Infor OS Portal
DABIRST-Model-Administrator
  • Adds a user to the Model and Security spaces as administrator
  • Provides access to DAR in Infor OS Portal
Birst-User Provides non-admin access to the Birst application in Infor OS Portal
Birst-System Administrator
  • Creates Infor Birst UserID
  • Makes user an account administrator for the whole tenant
  • Provides access to DAR in Infor OS Portal
  • Provides access to all delivered spaces

IFS roles/Birst group sync

Permissions and security within Birst are defined by space groups. Users inherit the permissions and security of their member space group in DAR. Users that are assigned to the IFS security roles automatically become members of the corresponding space group in Birst.

Power users are assigned the DABIRST-Power-User security role.
