Effective date fields in ASC (Application Setup Configuration)
This section describes the default behavior of effective date fields for configuration management in ASC. Depending on the application, the default is different.
For HRT, implementation consultants typically use "1/1/1950" as the date for building out the structural business classes like HROrganization. Configuration Management, therefore, also uses "1/1/1950" as the default for HRT.
For FSM, the delivered ASC date is left blank. The date is defaulted in when the ASC is created or updated through the release deployment.
For either application the dates can be changed to meet a customer's setup. The available
methods are:
- Copying the delivered ASC and updating the effective dates on a custom ASC.
- Updating the effective date in ASC through the specific business class.
Effective dates on the target side ASC are reflected in the business class records when they are created after deploying the package from SSP.
