Receiving and Delivery
Infor Lawson Receiving and Delivery uses mobile technologies to help supply chain departments receive, transport, deliver, and track goods an organization. These goods include items that are ordered from vendors using a purchase order created in Infor Lawson Procurement, and parcels that are sent to the organization through a different system, such as documents or gifts.
Key components of the application include:
-
Dock Logging: For validating that carrier tracking numbers on the packages that are delivered by a carrier match the tracking number on the carrier’s manifest.
-
Miscellaneous Receiving: Used to log shipments when they are received at a company (when no Infor Lawson PO is on record).
-
PO Receiving: You use the PO Receiving component to log shipments when they are received at a company (against an Infor Lawson PO).
-
Delivery Management: Used to record delivery information and tracks shipments from the time they enter the receiving area to the time they are delivered to their final destination.
-
Stock Issues and Returns: The Issues component is used to send inventory to another non-stocking location, department, or person. An expense is incurred at the requesting location for the issued items. Returns are credited to the location.
-
Tracking: Used to locate items to be delivered.
-
Picking: Used to download shipments that are generated in Infor Lawson Distribution to a mobile application and to perform requisition-based picking using a handheld device. It is also used to update shipment status and generate the appropriate delivery labels and documents.
