The Infor OS platform

All 10.1.1-Hybrid deployments use Infor OS as the system of reference. This means that all users must reside in Infor OS.

For this reason, you might want to add users in Infor OS, but read the rest of the information in this section first. Depending on the products licensed, the recommended methods for adding users may differ.

Regardless of the method used to add users, when one system is updated, all participating systems (Infor OS, multi-tenant and single-tenant Landmark, single-tenant Lawson System Foundation) are also updated. This is because Infor OS and Version 10.1.1-Hybrid support user BODs, a method for sharing user and role information across platforms and deployments.

Important: This document assumes that user BOD configuration has already been completed for your tenant, including synchronizing existing single-tenant Landmark and single-tenant Lawson System Foundation roles to Infor OS. If roles have not been synchronized, contact CloudOps for assistance.

Note: There is an exception to how user BOD processing works if customers choose to configure Email to be a not required field on the user record. In this case, Lawson System Foundation cannot publish user BODs, it can only receive them. This means that after configuration to make Email not required, you will no longer create users through single-tenant Lawson System Foundation. Users created in Infor OS and Landmark will exist in Lawson System Foundation after user BODs have been processed. More information is in Infor CloudSuite Corporate, Healthcare, Public Sector Multi-tenant Configuration Guide.
