Requisition Anomalies examines historical requisition data to detect anomalies in item prices, quantities, and patterns. For example, weekly, monthly, or quarterly. Requesters and approvers are alerted to any deviations, facilitating proactive decision-making to ensure supply chain efficiency.

Steps to use this feature

This use case uses AI to improve the challenge of stock replenishment.

The requester's goal is to ensure accurate and timely replenishment of stock. Because the process is reactive, it can lead to demand surges that disrupt timely restocking or sourcing from preferred vendors at optimal prices. This feature analyzes historical requisition data to identify anomalies in quantities, patterns (such as weekly, monthly, or quarterly trends), and item prices. Requesters and approvers are alerted to any deviations, enabling proactive decision-making and ensuring supply chain efficiency.

  • Requisition patterns analysis: This feature analyzes historical requisition data to identify patterns in quantity, frequency, and item pricing.
  • Anomaly detection: Requisitions that significantly deviate from expected patterns are identified and appropriate parties are notified.
  • Notification mechanism: Alerts are displayed in a widget or dashboard to ensure prompt action.

When you click a requisition line, the Anomaly Exists widget in the context viewer panel displays this information:

  • Frequency: Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly, depending on the AI-analyzed pattern.
  • Messages to the user:
    • Quantity is within the normal range
    • Quantity is below the normal range
    • Quantity is above the normal range
    • Irregular pattern, if no pattern is found for ordering
  • Expected cost: The expected cost for the requisition line is be displayed.
