Full deployment of applications: Overview and requirements
This section provides information about the order the packages should be deployed and other important information for deploying a full set of applications, including Landmark Technology, FSM, and HRT.
First-time deployment of all applications to a tenant
If you are deploying the applications to a tenant that does not currently contain them,
perform the deployments in the order described in this section.
- Landmark Technology
- Financials and Supply Management (FSM): Deploy the FSM package after Landmark and before HR Talent (HRT), if used. You must deploy the FSM package even if you use only the HRT application. This is because FSM provides data that is also required for HRT.
- HR Talent (HRT): If you use HRT, deploy the HRT package after Landmark and FSM.
The steps for performing this procedure are in another section. First-time deployment of all applications to a new tenant
Redeploy a full set of applications to an existing tenant
This scenario is not common, but if you are required to perform it, follow the procedure outlined here.
- Landmark Technology: It is a best practice to first update Landmark when you are deploying a package for FSM or HRT. This is because Landmark might deliver infrastructure that FSM or HRT depends on.
- Financials and Supply Management (FSM): If you use the FSM application, deploy the FSM package after Landmark has been updated. If you do not use FSM, do not deploy the package.
- HR Talent: Deploy the HRT package after Landmark and FSM, if used, have been updated.
