First-time deployment of all applications to a new tenant

Use this procedure if you are adding applications to a new tenant that does not contain them.

  1. Sign in to Self-Service Portal as an administrator.
  2. Under the Configuration Management group of options, select Local Packages.
  3. Optional. Select the Generate Compare Report check box to generate a report previewing the changes to the target tenant before the changes are deployed.
  4. On the Create Package Wizard page, specify this information:
    Package Name
Assign a name to the package.
    Description
Optionally, provide a description of the package.
    Source Tenant
From the list, select the source tenant. This is the tenant that contains the data to be copied to the target.
    Package Type
Retain the default selection of Local.
  5. Click Next.
  6. For Select Export Options, retain the default selection of Manual Selection and click Next.
  7. Load the Landmark Technology application.
    1. For Select applications to export the data and create a package, select TAM from the list and click Next.
The load process begins. When it completes, data available to be selected for installed applications displays on-screen. From here you can select the modules that should be copied for deployment on the source tenant.
    2. Scroll the list of data for Framework. This is Landmark-specific. Expand the displayed groups to select the modules to be exported. If dependencies exist for a selected module, the dependencies are automatically selected.
Note: More information about the available modules is in another section. Resources - Landmark Technology.
      • This includes modules for such framework-related modules as PFI, Replication Sets, Async, and Batch.
      • Extensions: If user configurations were created, they can be selected for export.
      • SecurityAuth: This group enables selection of the security authorization setup for the tenant, including roles, policies, and menu and report security configuration. Unlike for Extensions, you can select individual tables.
    3. Verify that the application setup configurations displaying on the source tenant exist on the target tenant.
    4. When you have completed selecting, click Next to begin loading the configurations. When the process completes, click Submit.
    5. Select the package you created in the previous step and click Deploy.
    6. Click Next.
      The package displays on-screen.
  8. If you are not using the Compare Report, and the display shows what you expect, click Submit.
  9. If you are using the Compare Report, perform these steps:
    1. Click Review Compare Report.
    2. When the report completes, review and take any required actions.
    3. When you have finished reviewing the report and have resolved any issues, click Continue Deployment.
  10. Create and deploy the FSM package. For a new installation of applications to a tenant, this is required even if you do not use the FSM application. Repeat step 6a-e substituting FSM for Landmark Technology and FSM application modules for Framework. More information about available resources for FSM is in another section. Resources - FSM
  11. If you use HRT, create and deploy the HRT package. Repeat step 6a-e substituting HRT for Landmark Technology and HRT application modules for Framework. More information about available resources for HRT is in another section. Resources - HRT
