Password authentication uses the standard Optiva user password. This password is stored in the Optiva database. It is in the USER_CODE and PASSWORD columns of the FSUSER table.

For a USER_CODE and PASSWORD combination to be accepted, the WINDOWS_ID value for that USER_CODE must be null.

You can have a USER_CODE with a PASSWORD of null. In this case, the client user only has to specify the USER_CODE value; any PASSWORD value is accepted, not just a blank password.
