WS Federated Authentication (IFS CE/Ping Federate)

Before you begin, ensure that you have this information.

  • idp.properties file - (PingFederate is the identity provider for IFS CE.)

Now, you are ready to proceed with the authentication process. In PLM Process Configuration, complete these steps:

  1. Specify the site names and URLs for the PLM Process Server and PLM Process web client. An https: URL is required.
  2. Select Authentication > WS-Federated Authentication (IFS CE/PingFederate).
  3. Click Download Service Provider File on the Web Applications tab. The default name for this file is sp.properties. (If necessary, open the sp.properties file using a text editor. Then, edit the properties named sp.entityid, sp.slo.url, and sp.sso.url to match the URL of your load balancer. Save the changes.)
  4. Submit the sp.properties file to the Infor Ming.le CE management team. You should receive an application package from them.
  5. Click the Identity Provider tab. Then, click Upload Identity Provider Property File. In the Select Property List File dialog:
    1. Click the file browser button.
    2. Select the idp.properties file.
    3. Click Upload. The properties in this tab are read-only.
  6. Click Update Optiva Configuration. In the Optiva Configuration Settings dialog, complete these steps:
    1. Update the value of the Host Name if you are using a load balancer.
    2. Optionally, specify URLs for these security fields:

      X-Frame-Options Top Site URL

      Content Security Policy 2 URLs

    3. Click OK. The Optiva authentication profile is updated. In the Authentication section of the Home page, Cloud is displayed.
