Additive roles permit roles to be combined

You can assign more than one role to a user and thereby combine the form security. In this example, the lab manager is assigned to both the formulator and lab manager roles.

Additive Role	Form Access (Read/Copy/Write)
Technician	Formula (R), Item (R), Test (R/C/W)
Formulator	Formula (R/C/W), Item (R/C)
Lab Manager	Company (R/C/W)

Suppose a user is assigned to more than one role with overlapping forms. In this case, the least restrictive security of the roles is granted by Optiva.

Additive roles apply only to a single lab.
