Adding Sum Constraints

  1. Select Administer > Optimization Modeler. The Optimization Modeler form is displayed.
  2. Select the required object.
  3. Click the Detail tab.
  4. Click Add Row.
  5. Specify this information in the Detail tab:
    Constraint Name
    The name of the constraint.
    Description
    The description of the constraint.
  6. Select the Sum Constraint in the Type field.
  7. Click the Constraint Definition icon corresponding to the Constraint Name. The Add Sum Constraints window is displayed.
  8. Specify this information:
    Constraint Type
The type of the constraint associated with the formula. Possible values:
    • Item
    • Parameter
    Sum Objects
The items or parameters that are used to optimize the formula.
    Constraint Operator
The operator used to define the sum value of the constraint.
    Sum Value
The maximum value of the specified formula.
    Note:
    • When you select Item as the Constraint Type, the value in this field is retrieved from the Lab UOM field on the Main tab.
    • When you select Parameter as the Constraint Type, the value in this field is calculated as Normalized Extend UOM/ Normalized Per UOM on the Main tab.
  9. Click Save.
