Adding Makeup Constraints

  1. Select Administer > Optimization Modeler. The Optimization Modeler form is displayed.
  2. Select the required object.
  3. Click the Detail tab.
  4. Click Add Row.
  5. Specify this information in the Detail tab:
    Constraint Name
    The name of the constraint.
    Description
    The description of the constraint.
  6. Select the Makeup Constraint in the Type field.
  7. Click the Define Definition icon corresponding to the Constraint Name. The Makeup Constraints window is displayed.
  8. Specify this information:
    Brix
    Select the appropriate brix or solids parameter used to calculate the contribution based on solids.
    Is Makeup Ingredient
    Select the ATTRIBUTE field from the formula item lines that identifies whether an ingredient is a makeup ingredient.
    Note: The value in this field is populated from the formula item lines.
    Makeup Ratio
    Select the ATTRIBUTE field that defines the ratio or proportion in which makeup ingredients must be added during formulation.
    Note: The value in this field is populated from the formula item lines.
    Makeup Ingredients
    Displays the items marked as True or Yes in the Attribute field on the Item Lines tab of the Formula form.
  9. Click OK.
    Note: You can use this formula to calculate the proportional contribution of the makeup ingredients: Makeup contribution ratio = (qty of ingr * brix value of ingr) /(sumof(qty of makeupingr * brix value of makeupingr)).
