CaptureElectronicRecord
You can use the CaptureElectronicRecord function to create an e-record for electronic signatures in Optiva. This is used for compliance, validation, and for audit in industries that need electronic signature capture.
Note:
- The function creates an e-record to capture and change the performed action.
- This function supports 21CFR Part 11 compliance and other regulatory requirements for electronic signatures and audit trails.
When to use
You can use this function to:
- Capture electronic signatures for actions requiring compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, GMP, or other regulatory standards in the pharmaceutical and food industries.
- Create audit trails when the users approve, reject or sign off on formulas, items, projects, or other critical objects.
When not to use
You cannot use this function:
- To capture e-records for routine, non-regulatory data changes that do not require electronic signatures or audit trails.
- Avoid in high-volume automated processes where e-signatures are not required, as it adds overhead and database storage.
