Adding Fixed Qty % Constraints
- Select Administer > Optimization Modeler. The Optimization modeler form is displayed.
- Select the required object.
- Click the Detail tab.
- Click Add Row.
- Specify this information in the Detail tab:
- Constraint Name
- The name of the constraint.
- Description
- The description of the constraint.
- Participation
-
Indicates if the constraint is required or optional. Possible values:
- 1- Required
- 0- Optional
- Select the FixedQtyPercentConstraint in the Type field.
- Click the Define Definition option corresponding to the Constraint Name.
- Specify this information:
- Quantity Percent Field
-
The Qty% value used for the constraint is displayed.
Note: By default, the value is MATERIAL_PCT and cannot be modified.
- Ingredients
- The item variables configured in the Item Variables tab is displayed.
- Click OK.
Note:
- The optimization modeler calculates the quantity percentage using only the participating ingredients.
- Before optimization, the required quantity percentage for the selected ingredients in the Qty % field on the Item Lines tab of the Formula form must be specified.
- The subformulas are not considered during optimization.
- If an item is marked as Yes and selected in the Fixed Qty % Constraint, the Qty % is fixed instead of the Qty.
- If an item is marked as Non-contributor and selected in the constraint, the ingredient is not considered in Participation mode.
- If an item is marked as Fixed and selected in the constraint, both the Qty and Qty % must match. If they do not match, the formula is not solved, and an error dialog is displayed.
- If an item is marked as No and contributes to the yield, the results vary.
- After running optimization, perform Calc and verify that the target Qty % matches the obtained Qty %.
