Configuring a Context-Aware Widget

The widget configuration dialog displays the fields required to configure a widget as a Sender, Receiver or Sender-Receiver.

Configuring a widget as a Sender

  1. Open the Widget Configuration window.
  2. Specify the Title, Database, and Lookup Code.
  3. Select Sender in the Widget Type field.
  4. Specify the Widget ID.
  5. Specify the Entity Type.
  6. Click Save.

    The Sender widget displays data from the configured lookup code. When a user selects a data element, the widget publishes the context message to Infor OS.

Configuring a widget as a Receiver

  1. Open the Widget Configuration window.
  2. Specify the Title, Database, and Lookup Code.
  3. Select Receiver in the Widget Type field.
  4. Specify the Widget ID.
  5. Specify the Entity Type.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Open Query Parameters from the widget menu.
  8. Configure the query parameters required to retrieve the context message values.
    Note: 
    • The receiver Widget ID must match the sender Widget ID.
    • The receiver Entity Type must match the sender Entity Type.
    • The Context Message parameter type retrieves values from the context message based on the configured parameter value.

Configuring a widget as Sender - Receiver

  1. Open the Widget Configuration window.
  2. Specify the widget settings.
  3. Select Send and Receiver in the Widget Type field.
  4. Specify the sender and receiver configuration values.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Configure the required query parameters.
    Note: The Sender-Receiver widget can receive data from one widget and publish data to another widget based on the users selection.
