Context Message
The Sender widget publishes a context message when a user selects a data element in the widget. The selected data is passed to other widgets through the context message.
For a Query widget, the values from the selected row are mapped sequentially as id1, id2, id3, and so on. Each value corresponds to a column in the query result.
The Entity Type is obtained from the widget configuration Entity Type field.
- For dependent PLM Process widgets, set the Entity Type to PLMProcessWidgetMessage.
- When an Entity Type other than PLMProcessWidgetMessage is used, the context message type defaults to InforBusinessContext.
- Example: Context message data
-
The Query widget returns the following data:
Formula Code Version Description DR_FORMULA_FormulaCode F0001 001 Formula Description F0001\001 F0002 002 Formula Description F0002\002 When the second row is selected, the query result values are published in the context message. The context message includes the data values under sequential keys.
The Entity Type is obtained from the Sender widget configuration.
For example, when a row in the Query widget grid is selected, the selected row is sent to the Infor OS portal as a context message.
All columns in the selected row are published under sequential keys such as id1, id2, id3, and so on. These keys correspond to the columns in the Query widget grid. The Entity Type is obtained from the Sender widget configuration.
