Using Quick Optimization

  1. Select Develop > Formula. The Formula form is displayed.
  2. Select the required formula.
  3. Select the Quick Calc option in the Item Lines tab.
    Note: The required formulation data must be configured, such as densities, optimization participant values, quantity low and quantity high values for ingredients, and min and max values for parameters.
  4. Add the required parameters in the Quick Calc Parameters section.
  5. In the Quick Optimization panel, click the Select Optimization Modeler option and select the required optimization modeler.
  6. Click Run Optimization.
  7. Review the optimization results.
  8. Click Update to Formula to update the optimized ingredient quantities to the formula.
    Note: 
    • After the optimized quantities are updated to the formula, run Perform Calc to recalculate the parameter values. The recalculated parameter values must be same as the after values displayed in the quick optimization panel.
    • To run optimization automatically when an ingredient quantity is modified, enable the Run Automatically option.
