Configuring wizards to display in the Create Rules list

You can configure wizards to display in the Create Rules list. If the wizard is the only rule present and if Create Rules are enforced, the create dialog will not be displayed and instead the wizard will auto-launch. Several action sets are available in the seed database in the Lookup by Sets lookup. This table shows the preconfigured Wizard Actions and Action Sets:

Select Create New Object in the Item Lookup.

Select Item > References > Items Filter.

Then, click Create New Object.

Then, select another item in the References tab and click Create From.

Select Formula > Item Lines > Functions > Create New Item.

Open the Formula form. In the Main tab, click Create Object beside the Mfg Item field.

Select at least one row in the Formula > Item Lines tab.

Then, select Functions > Create Sub-formula.
  • CREATE NEW SUBFORMULA
  • ADD SUBFORMULA

Note: To control genealogy during a Save As operation, where supported, you must include a user prompt with an enumerated list in the Wizard, and configure the script to set the parent, child, or sibling relationship.

Guidelines for the Action Set > Main tab

For Wizard Create Rules, you can specify all or a subset of these fields in the Action Set > Main tab:

  • Target Data Symbol
