Optimization Modeler

The Optimization functionality enables you to achieve lowest recipe cost by specifying the required constraints. Using this functionality a user can optimize formula based on defined constraints. The constraints can be defined in Optimization Modeler form.

The constraints can be created using the Optimization Modeler form that are used to optimize the formula using the Formula form.

A user must have appropriate authorization to perform the optimization process.
Note: You must define the Web.Beta.Feature profile attribute to enable the Optimization Modeler form.

You can view the cost after every optimization run. The total cost is displayed and the cost difference is displayed as a percentage.

After the optimization process is completed, the results of Ingredients and Parameters are updated to the formula. The values of the Min Qty, Max Qty, Qty fields in the Ingredients grid are updated as the Quantity Lo, Quantity Hi, Qty columns in the Item Lines tab. The values of the Min Val, Max Val, Value fields in the Parameters grid are updated in the Parameters tab.
