Working with Formulas in the Detail tab

Overview of the Formula toolbar

You can use the modeler details dashboard in the Detail tab to work with specific ingredients for formulas.

Click Perform Calculation from the Formula toolbar to calculate all parameters on formulas in the Detail tab.

Click Yes. The Before, After, and Delta fields are recalculated and updated in the Parameters grid.

Note: 
  • If implicit locking is enabled, the calculation is performed only for the unlocked formulas.
  • If implicit locking is disabled, the calculation is performed for all the formulas in the modeler (Dashboard).

Click Save from the Formula toolbar to save any changes made to the formula.

Click Reload to reload the formula ingredients and parameter values to the Detail tab.

Click X to remove the formula from the Detail tab.

You can also modify the grid view using these options:
  • Expand ( Expand) : To expand the grid
  • Apply to All (Apply To All) : Set a similar width to all grids
  • Set Default Width(Default Width) : Reset to default width

Adding a row to the Ingredients grid

  1. Click the Add Row option to add a new row.
  2. Click the Lookup icon for Item Code or Formula Code. The Object Explorer window is displayed with multi-select list of Item Code or Formula Code.
  3. Select the required ingredients.
    Note: You can select multiple ingredients.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click Save

Removing a grid row from the Ingredients grid

  1. Click Delete Row after selecting a row in the Ingredients grid to delete that ingredient from the formula.
  2. Confirm row delete message will display for you to select Yes or No to delete the selected row.

Ingredient functions

Click Options to display the functions menu. The following functions can be performed in the Ingredients grid:
  • Check Constraints
  • Compare Formula - This function opens in a new tab. The formula that you select is the Base Object in the Compare form while the other formulas in the Detail tab are displayed in the Compare Symbols grid.
  • Adjust
  • Adjust Total with Items
  • Scale Formula to Item Quantity
  • Split Line
  • Combine Like Ingredients
  • Explode and Combine Selected
  • Explode and Combine All
  • Save As - This function copies the current formula to a new formula and automatically adds this new formula to the tree and Detail tab. This new formula displays in the Detail tab just to the right of the current formula that was copied.
