Profile - field descriptions

Fields are presented in the order that they are presented in a form. Click a link to see the field descriptions for the form.

Main tab

Description
Enter a description for the profile.

Detail tab

Attribute

To add profile attributes, click Add Row and select a profile attribute from the list.

If the profile attribute is not in the list, you must add it to the Attribute Definition tab.

Value

Specify the value for this attribute.

Since this value will be used throughout the system, it is recommended that you change only basic attribute values.

For example: SECURITY.FAILEDLOGINLIMIT 4.

Attribute Definition tab

Code

Shows the code for the profile attribute. For example: PREFIX.TEMPLATE.

Description

Shows a general description of the attribute. Use the Detail tab to define the values for the attribute.

If you are adding an attribute code to this grid, then you must enter a description.

Version

Shows the version of the attribute.

If you are adding an attribute code to this grid, you must specify the version.

Restricted
Indicates if the profile attribute is restricted. Possible values:
  • None
  • Restricted

    The attribute restricts user access to a profile attribute. The restricted profile attributes are displayed only if the user removes the restriction.

  • Encrypted

    The encrypted attributes are displayed with *.

  • Encrypted and Restricted

    This attribute restricts user access to the profile attribute and values are masked with *.
