Creating a custom symbol

  1. Select Configure > Symbol. The Symbol form is displayed.
  2. Click Create New Object. The Create New window is displayed.
  3. Specify the name of the symbol in the Create field.
  4. Click OK. The symbol is created.
  5. Specify this information:
    Description
    A brief description of the symbol.
    Action Symbol
    Indicates the tasks that can be performed for the symbol. Possible values:
    • True
    • False
    Note: 
    • If you select True, you can:
      • Assign the symbol to a workflow action or action set
      • Override the default symbol for a workflow action in an action set
      • View all pending tasks for the symbol
    • Select False to prevent users from running workflows for this object type.
    Type
    The type of the symbol. Possible values:
    • Standard
    • Custom
    Note: By default, the value in this field is set to Custom. You cannot modify this value.
