Defining Access Collections
Access Collections are a set of Groups, or Labs and Roles that can be assigned to a user as a single template instead of individual Groups, Labs and Roles. You can add multiple Access Collections to a user. When the Access Collections are integrated with Infor OS / IFS, these are mapped to Security Roles in IFS, but provide a more complete security profile for the user than simply mapping Roles alone.
Note:
- This form is displayed only when the profile attribute ACCESS.COLLECTION.ENABLE is set to 1.
- The Groups and Roles tabs on the User has Access Collections but you can only view them to display a summary of user memberships.
- If the Access Collections are not available in your version, you can add Groups, Labs and Roles manually to a user.
- If you wish to change from standard Group/Role definitions to Access Collections carefully plan the conversion of existing user access requirements before modifying the ACCESS.COLLECTION.ENABLE profile.
