Alternate units of measure

You can configure alternate units of measure for each parameter in the Parameter form. Then, you can select those alternate units of measure in these objects: Item, Formula, Specification, Project, and Compare.

The parameter’s base unit of measure is saved to the database.

This is useful if:

• There are too many decimal positions.
• Products are manufactured for a location that requires a different unit of measure.
• Product specifications vary, for example, from Wet to Dry, and require different reporting mechanisms, such as Mass or Volume.
• The FILTERS column in the Parameter table also lists all filters that are associated with the given parameter instead of only the currently viewed filter.
