Creating a trade item
In the Create Rule, NEW TRADE ITEM is provided to be
				used to create trade items. The steps below use this Create
					Rule.
- Select Develop > Trade Item.
 - Click Create New Object. The Create New dialog box opens.
 - 
				Specify this information in the Create New dialog:
				
- Rule Code
 - Select a Trade Item Create Rule. For example, 
NEW TRADE ITEM. - Number
 - Prefix, Number, and Version segments are used to generate the Trade Item Code for this Create Rule.
 - Company Prefix
 - Select a company prefix. The company prefix can be selected from the list of
								company prefixes from the
C_GS1_COMPANY_PREFIXenumerated list. - GTIN Type
 - Select a GTIN Type.
 - GTIN Template
 - Select a GTIN Template from the list of Trade Item Templates.
 - Catch Weight
 - Select Yes or No to specify whether the trade item has a catch weight or not.
 - The Catch Weight determines the GTIN.
 - Source Object Name
 - Select the source object for the trade item.
 - Source Object
 - Select the source object.
 - Using Copy Method
 - Select a Copy Method for the trade item.
 
 - Click OK. The Trade Item form is displayed.
 - 
				Specify this information in the Main
					tab:
				
- Source Object
 - Click Lookup to select the source object for the trade item. The grid data - allergens, nutrition, and active ingredients are derived from the source object. Source defined fields are mapped from the source object to the trade item.
 - Description
 - Specify the description for the trade item.
 - Short Description
 - Specify a short description for the trade item.
 - Brand
 - Select the brand for the trade item.
 - Sub Brand
 - Select a sub brand for the trade item.
 - Brand Owner GLN
 - Select the brand owner GLN from the list of companies for the trade item.
 - GPC Code
 - Select the GPC code for the trade item.
 - Manufacturer GLN
 - Select the manufacturer GLN from the list of manufacturing companies for the trade item.
 - Information Provider GLN
 - Select the information provider GLN from the list of companies for the trade item.
 - Target Market
 - Select the target market for the trade item.
 - Country of Origin
 - Select the country of origin for the trade item.
 - Unit Descriptor
 - Select a UOM descriptor from the list of GS1 UOM codes for the trade item.
 - Min Order Quantity
 - Specify the minimum order quantity.
 - Width
 - Click Lookup to select the UOM and specify the width of the trade item.
 - Height
 - Click Lookup to select the UOM and specify the height of the trade item.
 - Depth
 - Click Lookup to select the UOM and specify the depth of the trade item.
 - Gross Weight
 - Click Lookup to select the UOM and specify the gross weight of the trade item.
 - Net Weight
 - Click Lookup to select the UOM and specify the net weight of the trade item.
 - Order Sizing Factor
 - Click Lookup to select the UOM and specify the order sizing factor of the trade item.
 - Functional Name
 - Specify the functional name of the trade item.
 - Minimum Temperature
 - Specify the minimum temperature.
 - Maximum Temperature
 - Specify the maximum temperature.
 - Variant
 - Specify the variant.
 - Diet type
 - Select the diet type. The choices are Coeliac, Diabetic, Keto, Vegetarian and Without Beef.
 - Base Unit Indicator
 - Select True or False.
 - Consumer Unit Indicator
 - Select True or False.
 - Effective Date
 - Click Select a Date to specify an effective date for the trade item.
 - Invoice Unit Indicator
 - Select True or False.
 - Dispatch Unit Indicator
 - Select True or False.
 - Own Label/Private Label
 - Select True or False.
 - Orderable Unit Indicator
 - Select True or False.
 - Publication Date
 - Click Select a Date to specify a publication date for the trade item.
 - Discontinued Date
 - Click Select a Date to specify a discontinued date for the trade item.
 - Cancelled Date
 - Click Select a Date to specify a cancelled date for the trade item.
 
 - Click Save.
