Symbols represent classes of objects, such as formula, specification, parameter and item. Use the Symbol form to configure the attributes and capabilities of a symbol.

Configuring a symbol modifies and "extends" its behavior. For example, a custom field can be defined for a symbol to let you store additional information for each object.

You can configure these attributes and capabilities of a symbol:
