Example of multiple rules
This ingredient statement has two rules.
- When you click , the list of ingredients
on the formula(s) is read by Optiva.
- Then, Optiva searches the first rule that is
listed in the Ingredient Statement for these ingredients.
- The primary rule,
BBQ Sauce Rule, provides the format for the entire label.

- Because the
Special Seasoningis not an item on theBBQ Saucerule, Optiva continues searching the next rule on the Ingredient Statement. In this example, the next rule is theNever Exploderule. This rule has two ingredients:Honey BBQ SauceandSeasoning.
Because the primary rule already provided the format for
Honey BBQ Sauce, Optiva ignores the formatting on theNever Exploderule for this item. Only the formatting forSpecial Seasoningis used. - The Ingredient
