Installing PLM Process Configuration
You should install PLM Process Server and the web client before you install PLM Process Configuration.
During the installation, the OptivaConfig
application pool is created for you in IIS Manager. This application pool is created
with an Identity of LocalSystem.
The LocalSystem identity provides the
application with these permissions:
- The permission to change the configurations of other IIS applications.
- The permission to recycle those applications.
If you change the Identity to use a different
account, then ensure that the account has the necessary permissions. It is better to use
the default Identity setting and restrict access to the PLM Process Configuration
application instead.
The FsOptivaConfig application is added
to the Default website by the installer. This
application uses the OptivaConfig application pool by
default. Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA) is the default authentication for
FsOptivaConfig.
