PLM Process components

This table shows the PLM Process components.

Component Description
PLM Process Server This set of web services manage all of the requests from the clients; they receive requests and return information from the database to the user. This is the core PLM Process application.
PLM Process web client This web application enables an end user to interact with most business objects, except for Test. The data is stored in the PLM Process database(s). This platform enables users to integrate with the Infor Ming.le application and ION Desk.
PLM Process API (Optional) The PLM Process API installation creates a web-based application. With this application, you can access PLM Process objects using an Application Programming Interface (API) service.
PLM Process Configuration This web-based utility is used to configure the PLM Process database connections. You can use it to perform other tasks such as specifying an authentication method or restarting PLM for Process. See PLM Process Configuration.
PLM Process XML Listener (Optional) This service detects new XML files, created by an outside application in a specified directory. The PLM Process XML Listener transmits XML files to web services for importing into PLM for Process.

The PLM Process Service Controller form is used to specify the criteria for importing XML data to PLM for Process.

PLM Process XML Import Listeners You can use the Infor PLM Process XML Import Listeners, instead of the Optiva Service Controller form, to import native XML data and ION BODs to PLM for Process. The PLM Process XML Import Listeners must be used for the Cloud.

Using the PLM Process XML Import Listeners, you can import XML data to multiple Optiva databases.
