Process for defining parameters

Creating and adding a parameter to a lab involves several processes. These processes are accomplished on different forms.

You must define the Density parameter before any other parameter in a lab.

1. Create the parameter on the Parameter form. Specify the general information.
2. Specify validation information.
3. Create an equation to define the parameter, if necessary, on the Equation form.
4. If you create an equation for the parameter, attach the equation to the parameter on the Parameter form.
5. Assign the parameter to a lab in the appropriate category on the Lab form.
