Codes for attachments and images

  • Notes, documents, images and URLs can be associated with Optiva objects. Files reside on a file system. These attachments can be divided among function codes. For example, create a function code called CHANGES. Use that function code to specify historical information.
  • In the Notes grid, specify the text in the Doc Text field.

  • In the Attachments grid, you can open selected attachments, attach external files, or point to URLs.

  • Images can also be embedded into the database for Optiva objects.

    Note: Exercise caution when you embed files. They take up space in the database. Embed files only when absolutely necessary, such as for images in reports.
