Working with Trade Items

Trade Item is the record that stores all the information and are the products or services that are priced, ordered or invoiced at any point of the supply chain.

A trade item will only have one GTIN. The GTIN can be used by a company to uniquely identify all of its trade items.

The fields on the Trade Item Main tab default in from the Trade Item Template used to create this Trade Item.

GS1 parameter values default into the Trade Item Code list from the selected Source Object during the creation of the trade item.

Data can also be entered manually into the Trade Item form. The Source Object is added to the Trade Item References tab during the creation of the Trade Item. The Source Object can be changed or refreshed after the Trade Item is correct. You can also edit or add detail to the information for GDSN.

You can add manufacturing locations that are pertinent to the GTIN.

You can also manage the hierarchy or remove the parent genealogy of trade items.
