You can specify additional attributes in the:

- Parameters tab >
- Test Results tab >
- Test Conditions tab. >
condition
Independent variable of the test that defines a context for the
test, for example, room temperature or time of day. Permissible values for
conditions can be set up in advance and the actual values recorded at the time
of the test.
interval
Amount of time to elapse in which a test should be completed.
For example, if there are 2 intervals of 1 day each, the first interval says
that the first test should be completed within the first day from the start
date; the second interval says that the second run of the test should be
completed within 2 days from the start date.
parameter
Characteristic that can be measured by tests. For example, dry time of paint needs to be tested and the measurements recorded.
In addition, there are parameters for conditions of the tests themselves. For example, the dry time test must be completed within a humidify environment that is normal for the climate where the product is sold.
project
Provides the ability to apply test plans to one or more formulas
when they are created from the
References tab of the project
using a create rule such as
PROJECTFORMULAPLAN
.
request
An automated workflow process in which the system creates
samples and test orders for a list of tests in a test plan and opens the
Test Results form.
result
A measurement, observation, or judgement that is determined
under specified conditions and, sometimes in a specific order.
sample
A small amount of a formula or item that can be separately
identified for a test. Samples can be assigned a batch number that corresponds
to a larger quantity where the sample was taken from.
test
An action or series of actions that is taken by a person to
evaluate or assess a material according to a test method. Can include a
reference to a standard test method protocol. It also includes properties to be
measured, intervals at which the test can be run, and conditions criteria for
running the test.
test method
A formal protocol such as ASTM, USP, or CTFA that defines how a tester
evaluates specific properties of a material. This is an external reference to Optiva and contains information about the conditions and steps for
testing.
test order
An active and historical record of testing. Contains lists of
samples, tests, conditions, comments and results. The order acts as a request
for testing, a working record during testing, and a final repository for
results.
test plan
A list of parameters that are evaluated during testing. Each
parameter is measured or assessed using a specific test. A test plan is created
from within an object.
test request
Initiated from an object. Uses an automated workflow to create
samples of the object and create a test order. Add the samples and tests to the
test order, and open the
Test Results form (ready for test results to be
entered).
