AD and AD/AD FS

This topic pertains to the Active Directory (AD) or Active Directory Federation Services (AD/AD FS) authentication choices. The WINDOWS_ID field in the Optiva User page must be configured for the User Principal Name. For example, to log in as the FSI user, the FSI user must be configured in the database with the User Principal Name (e.g., username@mycompany.com).

For Active Directory (AD) authentication, users must always complete the entries in the Login window. They specify the Windows ID in the User ID field and the Domain password in the Password field. Users are logged into Optiva if they specify a valid Windows ID for the domain.

If the client browser is running on a machine that is on the same domain, specify the User ID as jsmith. If the machine is not on the domain, then you must specify the User ID as domain\jsmith.
