Creating additional security roles in IFS

IFS Administrators can create additional security roles for Optiva. For further details, see the Infor Ming.le Administration Guide.

  1. In the Federation Services Applications page, select the OPTIVA row and select Manage > Master Data.
  2. In the Master Data page, select Security Role. Then, click Details and click the Create icon.
    Node name
    Specify the name of the role. For example: Optiva_Mingle_users.
    Description
    Specify a description for the role.
  3. Click Save.
  4. To assign the newly created security role to the Optiva PLM Process instance:
    1. Select Configure > Applications.
    2. Select the OPTIVA row.
    3. Select the newly created role in the Security Roles section. This role is used for this Optiva instance for AD/ADFS authentication. Then, click Save. Now, you are ready to assign IFS users to this role.
