Additional text is optional text that can be entered for individual guidelines. It can include variables. There is no default and it cannot be saved to be reused like a default guideline or standard guideline.

Examples are Initiate a Raw Material Cross-certification request and Submit an Item Approval.

Maximum acceptable concentration of a substance in adherence to rules and regulations established by the countries where products are sold.

default guideline

A default guideline is used for items or parameters that do not have any guidelines defined. Here are some examples of generic default guidelines:

  • This item or parameter does not have a guideline.
  • This item or parameter has not been checked.
  • A guideline is not available for this item or parameter.
  • No guideline is defined.

guideline check

A guideline check displays guidelines that suggest usage of items and parameters according to where the formulas are manufactured or sold. The guideline check also displays guidelines according to how the end products are used. When the guidelines are displayed, the formulator can decide whether the formulas are likely to be approved for production. The formulator also decides what needs to be finished to ensure approval.

item group

An item group can be used to create one guideline for a group of items.
