Message Code - field descriptions
Overview
Error messages are displayed when the user tries to perform an action that is not allowed in Optiva, such as entering an incorrect value for a parameter.
Informational messages are displayed to communicate results of user actions, such as confirmation that data has been saved.
Both types of messages are classified as message codes. You can customize existing messages or create new ones.
Main tab
- Error Type
- Select Informational Message or Error Message.

An informational message informs the user of a condition occurring in Optiva.

An error message reports a situation the user has to address in order to continue using Optiva.

Shows the index number for the message. If you are creating a new message, then start above 100,000.
Each message must have a unique index or it will not be saved.
Message Text tab
- Select a language code.
- Specify the text for the message in the appropriate language.
