Downloading the Schema

  1. Click Download. The Download Stage Schema dialog box is displayed.

  2. Select Table Schema Only or Schema and Data. The Schema and Data option is reserved for future implementations which will allow users to download the stage data.

  3. Click Download to download the schema. The schema file will be downloaded with column details (Data type, not null and default value) info in Excel.
  4. Excel files for each BDL supported symbols in a ZIP file is downloaded. Each Excel file will have a tab for supported detail code like header, acl, sets etc. You can delete tabs in the Excel file.
  5. Each downloaded Excel file contains Header and detail code tables schema. Headers that are in bold are required fields. The image below displays an example for formula object type. It contains FSFORMULA, FSFORMULASETS, FSFORMULAATTRIB, FSFORMULADOC, FSFORMULATECHPARAM, FSFORMULAINGRED, FSFORMULAACL and FSFORMULAREFERENCE tabs.

  6. Add data to Excel files to upload the data into stage tables. After data is added to the Excel file, remove metadata rows. If the data is uploaded with metadata rows, the actual stage data will be uploaded. An error message is displayed for metadata rows. The image below displays an example for data that has been added to an Excel file.
