Testing the External Email from Optiva
Ensure that you have access to the SMTP email server before you obtain external email notifications from Optiva. Test the email connectivity between the Optiva Application Server and the email server. This can be used to verify that the email server is configured to accept SMTP messages over Port 25.
Testing the connection requires an SMTP client software package. Be aware that anti-virus software can sometimes interfere with successful email interaction. Configure the application server to allow emails to be sent.
