XML Export of Optiva data
You can export data into an .XML file. That file can be used by any XML processor that is compliant with version 1.0 of XML.
The exporting process involves specifying this information:
- The objects to be exported
- The detail data for the object
The resulting .XML file can be viewed in a browser.
After you export Optiva objects into an XML file, you can import that data into another Optiva database. This is useful for synchronizing data between Optiva databases.
The XML tags that are added to the Optiva data correspond to entries in the DB Name column in the Validation form.
Using the XML Export form, you can also create an XSD file for reports or other applications that require XML data. Only objects that are used in reports support the button.
