Changing the sort order

By default, the formula’s Quantity Percent (i.e., MATERIAL_PERCENT) column is used to sort ingredients in an ingredient statement.

You can use these features to control the sequence in which ingredients are sorted in the ingredient statement:

Form Description
Ingredient Statement The drop list for Alternate Quantity % can be used to select another column for sorting.

Line Type column, in the Ingredients tab, can be used to change the order of a line.

The Functions menu can be used to change an item’s location within a section.

Ingredient Statement Rule Use these fields in the Sections tab:
  • Sort Threshold - Amount below which the order of the ingredients can be changed.
  • Group Threshold - Quantity percentage that is used to determine whether items are grouped in the section.
  • Sort Type - Ingredients can be sorted numerically in descending order by Quantity % or alphabetically in ascending order by Statement Text.
