Parent ingredient statement rule with child ingredient statement

In this example, the MILK CHOCOLATE item has a child ingredient statement MILK CHOCOLATE\0001. This is added to the parent statement, CANDY BAR.

• Leave the Function Code field blank for the Milk Chocolate item in the parent rule. This ensures that the correct language is retrieved when the rule is applied to the parent ingredient statement.

  

  You can leave this field blank even if you do not want to generate statements in different languages. In this case, the Function Code that is assigned to the LABEL.CHILDFUNC profile attribute is used.

• If you select a Function Code, the rule is only used for that language. Therefore, you typically leave the Function Code blank.
