Assigning tree references

You can show one type of reference in the sidebar of an object.

  1. Open the Configure Templates page.
  2. Select the role-based template that you intend to modify. For this example, select the RL_ADMIN role and then select Formula.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Click the Tree References tab. Then, select a reference object from the list. In the example, select Specifications as the reference object.

The sidebar tree for the formula includes this one type of reference from the References tab.

Users can open the references and keep the original object tree in place.

When you click a reference, the selected reference opens in the Main tab. The reference is editable where security permits. You can click the object at the top of the sidebar to return to the original object.
