Global Calc - field descriptions

Overview

Global Calculation (Calc) allows you to recalculate formulas automatically in one step. You should use this page when:
  • A raw material has been replaced.
  • A parameter value in an item has changed.
  • An equation used to derive a parameter has changed.

The Global Calc page is more efficient than manually opening each formula in a hierarchy and recalculating parameter values for each formula.

Viewing reports

The Reports tab allows you to view rollup errors in the Global Calc process.

You can see:

  • Formulas that are being calculated from other labs in the Where Used hierarchy. After these formulas are processed, they are removed from the report.

  • Formulas that have failures or warnings.
  • Parameters that have been calculated by the job.
  • Lab parameters that were excluded from the calculation.
  • Other reports configured by your Optiva administrator.
