Configuring the standard guidelines

  1. Configure the default guidelines that are shown for items and parameters without guidelines.
  2. Create standard guidelines with variable placeholders for specific contexts (locations, products, brands, users, and uses) and values for items and parameters.
  3. Configure the context parameters (C_BRAND, C_ENDUSE, C_ENDUSER, C_PRODTYPE) as enumerated lists.
  4. Configure the manufacturing and the selling locations as locations.
  5. Configure the sets, status codes, doc codes, and approval codes in the Symbol form for the guidelines.
  6. Customize the views, references, search results, and lookups for the guidelines.
  7. Configure the “create” rules to generate the codes for the guidelines.
