Degradation Rule - field descriptions
Fields are presented in the order that they are
presented in a form. Click a link to see the field descriptions for the form.
Overview
This page enables you to assign a degradation constant value for each
parameter to calculate a nutrient concentration at the end of the product’s shelf life.
Model the rate of degradation using the first order kinetic
theory:
[A] = [A0]e (-kt)
The degradation constant, k, is experimentally determined and takes into account any environmental variables such as temperature, moisture, pH, ingredients, and oxygen that affect the degradation rate.
Degradation rules are used in equations.
