This table provides the parameter types for a lab that enables equations.
Equation Indicator
|
Parameter Type for the Lab
|
Total Value Equation
|
- Equation Total - Fires only at the formula
level. The parameter is not visible at the item level.
- Rollup, Cost, and Informational - not
applicable. Always add the Total Value Equation parameters to the lab as
Equation Total.
|
Calculated Parameter
|
- Rollup - Fires at the item level. The
equation is ignored and the parameter rolls up according to the rollup rules at
the formula level.
- Informational - Fires at both the item and
formula levels.
- Cost and Equation Total - Not applicable.
|
Rollup Param Total Test
|
- Rollup - Fires at the formula level, not
the item level, but does not assign a parameter value. (In other words, if you
assign a value to
Context.ReturnValue , it has no effect.) The
Equation Indicator is typically used for an equation that tests or acts upon
the rolled up value in some way. The parameter behaves like an ordinary rollup
that has no equation.
- Cost, Informational, or Total Value
Equation - not applicable. Always add the Rollup Param Total Test parameters to
the lab as Rollup.
|
For Parameters added to a Lab as Cost: When these parameters have an
equation attached, the equation is ignored.
